After more than three years of construction, the new Shougang Bridge, which was built by Beijing Gonglian Highway Linkage Co., Ltd., Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Baoqiao Group Co., Ltd., has now flown across the Yongding River, connecting Shijingshan and Mentougou two districts. Looking at the cross-river bridge with the largest span and the highest height in this Beijing area, it is particularly majestic.

Viewed from the outside, the new Shougang Bridge, which has been unveiled, is an inverted U-shaped double-slanted steel tower cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 1,354 meters, of which the main bridge is 639 meters long, the main span is 280 meters, and the widest part of the bridge is 54.9 meters. It is the widest steel bridge in China's current bridge, about 2.7 times the width of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. In addition, the bridge adopts an all-welded steel structure with a total steel structure of 45,000 tons, which exceeds the 42,000 tons of steel structure of the National Stadium “Bird's Nest”. Because the two inverted "U" shaped steel towers are inclined to the east and west sides respectively, overlooking from the sky, it is like two tug-of-warners sitting face-to-face, with their feet on their feet and hands, each stretching backwards, just like A steel art with both strength and beauty.
