The Pingtan Strait Rail-Road Bridge is 16.34 kilometers long. The upper level is a six-lane highway and the lower level is a two-lane railway. It is China's first truly dual-use cross-sea bridge for roads and railways. It is also the most difficult in the world. The public-rail dual-use cross-sea bridge, the project is expected to be fully open to traffic in 2020.
