A few days ago, the new transportation bridge project of Hangzhou Asian Games, the new bridge of Qiantang River, was officially started. It is expected to be completed before the opening of the Asian Games in 2022. As a key project of the Hangzhou section of the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, the completion of the bridge is of great significance to promote the development of Zhejiang Dawan District, Metropolitan Area and Hangzhou City.

The new Qiantang River Bridge is located on the downstream side of the Pengyu Bridge. It has a total length of 1350.8 meters and is divided into two upper and lower floors. The upper level is the elevated expressway and the lower level is the double-line fast track. The airport track express line crosses the Qiantang River from here. After the completion of the bridge, it will further support the development strategy of Hangzhou's eastward expansion and support the river, and improve the internal traffic of the city; connecting Xiaoshan Airport, Qianjiang Century City, Qianjiang New City and East Station Hub will become an important commuter passage for Hangzhou citizens.

It is understood that the Hangzhou section of the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway has a total length of 23.6 kilometers. In addition to the main toll station, the entire line is in the form of a viaduct. The viaduct adopts the first-class highway construction standard, and the design speed is 80 km to 100 km. The ground road adopts the first-class highway construction standard and takes into consideration the urban road function, and the design speed is 60 km.
